Characters, colours and PMG
Graph2Font turns repeating image fragments into characters, combining them with colour changes and player and missile objects. The editor controls these elements on individual screen lines. Colour placement must fit hardware limits: not every source palette can be reproduced unchanged.
G2F, ASM and XEX
The program opens PNG and BMP, among other formats. G2F projects preserve artwork and settings for further editing. ASM export creates assembly source; Save XEX produces a display program using the bundled MADS assembler.
Raster limits
Options → Check marks places requiring too many register changes for the selected display mode and width. This helps correct graphics before export. Colours also depend on PAL/NTSC and the display palette.
